The Design-Build Institute of America is training professionals from coast to coast on how to perform Design-Build Done Right™ while also issuing a record number of DBIA™ and Assoc. DBIA™ certifications. This year’s new acquisition course for owners has been redesigned by popular demand to provide an acquisition overview in a single day, rather than the traditional three-courses offered in previous years.
Now is the time to register for our new and improved course:
“Developing an Acquisition Strategy in Design-Build”
This course will be offered in 8 states, strategically placed to help train design-build owners nationwide. We hope you can join us as our experienced instructors walk you through the acquisition process for design-build projects. This workshop will provide a high level overview of the synergistic elements critical to a successful acquisition strategy. It will focus on key elements to optimizing successful outcomes such as:
- Selecting the Right Design-Build Team
- Transitioning to Performance Requirements
- Balancing Risk with Reward (Incentives – Award Fees)
This high level overview of the concepts traditionally covered in three days will allow owners to see where they might want to customize future training.
This course will help owners practice Design-Build Done Right™ by implementing a procurement plan that enhances collaboration and other benefits of design-build and is in harmony with the reasons that the owner chose the design-build delivery system.
