Tyler Mills, Assoc. DBIA
Tyler Mills is a Project Manager at Integrated Builders Group (IBG) located in El Dorado Hills, California. After earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Tyler worked in the construction industry while pursuing his MBA. Tyler earned his MBA in 2017 from Utah Valley University and joined IBG early in 2018 as a Project Engineer. Tyler’s aptitude for the design-build industry and his contributions earned him a promotion to Project Manager where he collaborates with clients in the credit union industry to design and build meticulously crafted solutions to meet their expansion and remodeling needs.
Samir Patel, Assoc. DBIA
Samir Patel, a Project Manager at Gilbane Building Company, has been in the construction industry for a little over 8 years and has recently joined a growing industry of Design-Build Professionals redefining project delivery throughout the United States. Samir has a well-rounded background and experience in many market sectors such as higher education, healthcare and residential in the New York/New Jersey area. He is currently managing a first-class 300,000 SF high-rise mixed-used 21 story tower in New Brunswick, NJ.
Dana Jenkins, Assoc. DBIA
Dana entered the world of Project Management in 2007, and soon became known as her organization’s youngest national Project Director. In 2015, she began working with Capitol Management Information and Engineering Services and naturally embraced this new high-stakes arena and was able to provide a much-needed support system for mega-project teams and stakeholders within the D.C. area. Fairly new to Design-Build she began working on major projects with Jacobs (CH2M) and the D.C. Department of Transportation helping to revitalize D.C with quality design and sustainability through the Anacostia Waterfront Initiative (AWI). She is currently working on a project with AECOM and the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority helping to improve the District’s Metro stations. Now, with her Assoc. DBIA certification she is determined to help her team practice Design-Build Done Right!
Sherri Kermanshachi, P.h.D., P.E., LEED AP, PMP, DBIA
Dr. Sharareh (Sherri) Kermanshachi is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Director of the Resilient Infrastructure and Sustainable Environment (RISE) Lab at the University of Texas at Arlington. She has received her Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in addition to Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. Dr. Kermanshachi has published more than 100 books, scholarly articles, conference proceedings, and research reports and has conducted several national- and state-level research projects. She has received several prestigious national and regional awards including a 2018 Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Distinguished Leadership Award. She is currently leading RISE lab which has more than a dozen Ph.D. and Masters students and teaches various graduate and undergraduate level courses in civil engineering.
Gautam Shenoy, DBIA
Gautam is the BIM-VDC Director for Steinberg Hart and has over seventeen years of experience in Building Information Modeling and project/systems collaboration. Gautam specializes in speaking at conferences about interdisciplinary collaboration strategies and trade coordination on various types of project delivery systems. He takes an immense interest in teaching and believes sharing his knowledge is fundamental to professional development and personal well-being.
Joe Massa, CCM, DBIA
Joe Massa is an Integrated Program Director for numerous major capital improvement programs at several New York City and New York State Agencies.
