The entry deadline for DBIA’s 2017 Design-Build Project/Team Award Competition is just a few weeks away. Have you submitted your entry?
DBIA will be accepting entries online through the online submission system by Friday, May 26, 2017 (one week before Memorial Day). You may pay a $100 additional fee to extend the deadline to June 2, but we absolutely will not be extending the deadline beyond that.
Each year, the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) recognizes the nation’s best projects following Design-Build Done Right™ best practices. We’re looking for design-build successes which achieve best value while also meeting design and construction quality, plus cost and schedule goals. As the only organization that defines, teaches and promotes best practices in design-build, being recognized by DBIA is a coveted honor.
With design-build usage accelerating in the United States in both the public and private sector, owners are looking for proven design-build track-records and successful design-build teams that meet or exceed cost and schedule goals, as well as exceed owner expectations. Winning a DBIA’s Design-Build Project/Team Award tells the world your team practices Design-Build Done Right,™ sets you apart as an industry leader and helps gain a competitive edge in the growing design-build industry.
Don’t believe us? Here’s how some of DBIA’s national award winners describe their experience:
“Every federal proposal has a Past Performance factor. Often we are allowed to show awards deemed relevant to the project. DBIA’s Design-Build Project/Team Awards are always relevant.”…Mark Ruffino, Mortenson Construction, Minnesota
“The DBIA National Awards is one of the only organizations that we seek out year after year as only the best-of-the-best are recognized.”…Jessica Shipley, The Beck Group, Texas
“Winning a DBIA Design-Build Project/Team Award is a gold standard within the A/E/C industry. To be named among this elite group of projects, exemplifies excellence in design-build, teamwork, client satisfaction and innovation.”…Kelly Sternberg, Barton Malow Company, Michigan
“Many awards are about the size of the project or if the project is high profile. DBIA’s thorough application process, conversely, is driven by the desire to pick the projects that capture the true spirit of design-build, regardless of size. Because of this process, winning a DBIA award was meaningful to our team.”…Vincent Hart, Carollo Engineers, Inc, California
2017’s winning projects and team members exemplifying design-build best practices will be honored at DBIA’s Annual Awards Program during our national conference in November and in DBIA external promotion.
